您心目中，哪裡是全台最美的公路？由民間發起的「終極版」公路最美八景選拔，票選結果即將出爐，而目前以合歡山公路拔得頭籌，新北市金水公路暫居第二，而台八線中橫公路太魯閣峽谷位居第三，另外，東台灣在宜蘭、花蓮、台東分別有6個派出所，美的像渡假屋一樣，成為遊客熱門觀光新「警」點。
稜線後透出第一道曙光，海拔3千公尺的日出，深刻描繪出南投大禹嶺的剪影，「落鷹山莊」被譽為「全台灣最美的12公里」，在公路迷舉辦的「公路八景」網路票選活動中，票數遙遙領先。

想「出走」的民眾，無不期待「旅展」灑出的好康。將自10月26日起一連四天在世貿一、三館同步展出的「台北國際旅展」，共有60國、850個參展單位，超過1千個攤位，祭出國內外旅遊、住宿券及餐券下殺優惠，還有抽汽車、機票等活動拼買氣。
其中，日本館繼去(2011)年展出100個攤位後，今(2012)年增加至106個，蟬連最大參展國，包括各縣市觀光單位、JR東日本鐵道、東京地下鐵等45個單位來台參展，還派出多支隊伍表演地方節慶、江戶冶遊文化等。活動期間優惠百出，像日本航空提供自台北出發到東京/大阪/名古屋，每人機票一律下殺9,500元起。
